The one good thing about this ID debacle is that a lot of people, myself included, are taking more time to learn about the real science that's out there and there's some fascinating stuff.

It's a comparison of the amino acid sequence of a certain protein as it appears in different species. This particular protein appears in all plants and animals, and many single-celled organisms. It's also relatively small and does not tend to change much over time so it's used for studying evolutionary divergence.

BTW, I'm not making any claims about theories this data supports. I don't have the knowledge to use it to support any argument. I just thought it was interesting.
