So close! And yet so far away. Unless the line actually *is* in "Lawrence of Arabia" (in which case, awesome coincidence)!

I'm not sure what protocol is at this point. Do I offer hints? Do I just reveal and come up with a new line? Am I banned from playing for being too obscure?

I cheated and looked it up, and I think that maybe you and thirty-seven other people are the only ones who have ever even HEARD of this movie. It does sound funny, though, if I could ever locate it.

My suggestion (worth exactly what you pay for it) is to tell us the answer, then pick another movie, and quote from the new one.

No one is ever banned for any silly reason, from playing in the games thread. If you are banned, it will be because of some egregious offense. Like, I just don't LIKE you, or something. We already know that that is genetically impossible for me, so I think you're safe. (Disclaimer: I have no special Moderator or other authority in the Games Forum. I'm just goofing around.)

I didn't think you'd really ban me. I mean, if I were going to get banned it would have been long ago for other reasons, I'm sure.

The quote was from the movie "Murder by Death" from 1976. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074937/

A new quote (hopefully not yet used, but I'm not going to search):

"Evil will always triumph over good because good is dumb."

Sorry it took a while, but here's my quote:

Now that's a real shame when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that.

Better Off Dead

I love that movie. It was the first movie I saw at the Varsity Theater Midnight Movie at The BYU.

New quote:

"Hey, Mumbo. Jumbo. I am hungry. Go get me some eggs or something."
Indifference. It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

~Zesdy~ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your presence is required to post a new movie quote, my dear. And if you don't want to, as it appears since you have not come up with one since March 24, when you guessed "Willow" for the last quote.

So, you know, if you don't wanna do it, just hang loose and don't say anything, and I'll be back tomorrow or the next day to usurp your turn and post a quote. I mean, you know, if nobody objects. Or beats me to it.
Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

Gahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is that ~Zesdy~ woman when you need her?

Well, it's been 30 days since my last conf--I mean, 30 days since I posted that I wuz gonna just blatantly and aggressively put up a shiny new Moobie Quote for your instruction and edification, so here we go. And the rule is, if you guess the quote, and you KNOW it's right (as in, "no doubt in my mind," like Uncle Rico), just fer cryin' out loud, GO AHEAD AND PUT UP A NEW QUOTE. Okay?? People are idly sitting by, waiting day after day for a new quote to guess, and may have to resort to crossword puzzles, or even (shudder) Sudoku, to kill time. Horrifying.

So! here's the new one; sharpen your pencils and fire up your iPads and such:

Also, let's not forget - let's *not* forget, [name] - that keeping wildlife, an amphibious rodent, for uh, domestic, you know, within the city - that ain't legal either.

KareNin... sorry :( ... obviously this is not a regular thread I look into... I'm glad you took action because I probably wouldn't have noticed until next year.

The quote wasn't familiar, so I cheated and looked it up. I discovered why it wasn't familiar: I haven't seen the movie. I am no help here.

I suspect that was a bad choice of movies. Never mind. Let me do a different movie.

'Hey, I know a joke! A squirrel walks up to a tree and says, "I forgot to store acorns for the winter and now I am dead." Ha! It is funny because the squirrel gets dead.'
