Sudoku

Postby WiseNLucky » Sun 30 Oct, 2005 06:50 am

I know this forum is for games we play with each other, but have any of you tried Sudoku? It is a number game that will hook you quickly. Before all you mathophobes tune out, it is not really a math game; rather, it is a logic game.

Here is a link to a free Sudoku puzzle every day if you want to try it out:

I love that game! I didn't know it had a name, but that's one of my favorites when I buy a puzzle magazine. It will be great fun to have it on the computer.

And while we're recommending games, there's always Snood. You download that from Snood dot com. I'm not playing it much any more, but I've gotten a few other people hooked on it, so it's time for me to move on anyway.

usatoday.com provides a daily free online puzzle as well. It's very addictive.

Here's my favorite Sudoku site. You can even print the games and take them with you!
Why are you the way that you are? Honestly, every time I try to do something fun or exciting, you make it not that way. I hate so much about the things that you choose to be. Michael Scott

What if you're a logicophobe?

It's great fun! Just start with an easy puzzle to figure out how it works and you'll be off.

I just checked out Web Sudoku recently after seeing the puzzles at stores and now I'm hooked. I played an 'easy' one there and got through it fine and so then I tried a 'medium' one and noticed quite a difference in difficulty.

The first time I tried it I thought I would start with some trial and error and just plunk some numbers in, but I realized everything can be thought out before putting any numbers in at all. Very interesting game!

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I had to share.

I adore Sudoku, it might have even been this thread that got me hooked, oh so long ago. But now I have moved on to Kakuro. This website has a new puzzle every day. And I love the feature of hovering your mouse over the number and it gives you the possible combinations.

Kakuro link!
