Aunt Tilly, the silly old fool, says she feels really blessed to have survived a typhoon, but she gets agitated at the thought of a tornado. Hurricanes don't scare her, but the thought of an earthquake makes her afraid. Oddly, she prefers the prospect of a blizzard to that of a mild thunderstorm.

Even though Aunt Tilly finds roasted marshmallows yummy, pinewood derbies funny, and looking for arrowheads cool, she really, really dislikes boyscouts!

Aunt Tilly's belly hurts when she guffaws or giggles, but not when she laughs. It also hurts when she eats too much cheese, lettuce, noodles, and when she blows bubbles. It helps to pass toots, though.

Poor Aunt Tilly has disappeared, or maybe disapparated. It's unseemly how much I miss her and her goofiness.

She's just been busy watching football and catching up on the baseball playoffs. Who knew she was such a sports addict?

Yeah, she probably sits there eating cheese balls and cheering the referees and the umpires, also known as officials.

Aunt Tilly has been avoiding my house with all the coughing and hacking. But the sniffling might bring her around, or The Adorable One Year Old, whom we call Ella.

Aunt Tilly's musical tastes surprised me with their seeming inconsistency. She can't stand Usher or Michael Jackson, but she really gets her groove on with LL Cool J and Cee-Lo Green. Rosemary Clooney makes her goony, but Alicia Keys just makes her sneeze. She digs Rihanna and R. Kelly, but Chris Brown gives her the heebie-jeebies.

Willie Nelson is on her list of country favorites, along with Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn, The Avett Brothers, Kenny Chesney, and Lady Antebellum. She also loves Johnny Cash, Billy Currington, Carrie Underwood, and Kellie Pickler, but doesn't much care for Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, The Zac Brown Band, or Darius Rucker.

While we were watching the Grammy Awards this year, she remarked that she had downloaded music by Maroon 5, Pitbull (I know! Right?), Green Day, and Bassnectar, and even some old Metallica hits. But she just couldn't see what all the fuss about Daft Punk and Linkin Park and Adele and Jason Aldean was about.

Nicki Minaj just about finished poor old Aunt Tillie off when she performed. HATED her.

She had to go lie down to some easy-listening tracks by Kenny G and Johnny Mathis to recover.

Aunt Tilly has been freezing for weeks now. Her feet feel horrible, and all she wants to do is guzzle peppermint cocoa. But today it's breezy and sunny and totally good.

I can't say Aunt Tilly is lazy, but she'd rather be snoozing in a hammack or on a settee, or even a sleeper sofa, than working. She likes her books and her bedroom and her spooky silence.
