Met her on a mountain
There I took her life
Met her on a mountain
Stabbed her with my knife

Hang down your head, Tom Dooley
Hang down your head and cry
Hand down your head, Tom Dooley
Poor boy, you're bound to die

"...He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below,
saw everything as far as you can see.
And they say that he got crazy once and that he
tried to touch the sun,
and he lost a friend, but kept the memory.
Now he walks in quiet solitude, the forest and the stream,
seeking grace in every step he takes,
his sight is turned inside himself, to try and
understand, the serenity of a clear blue mountain lake..."

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I'm-a gonna cry-y
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die-ie
Bye bye my love goodbye

There goes my baby
With someone new
She sure looks happy
I sure am blue
She was my baby
'Til he stepped in
Goodbye to romance
That might have been

Money talks
But it don't sing and dance
And it don't walk
And long as I can have you
Here with me, I'd much rather be
Forever in blue jeans

Honey's sweet
But it ain't nothin' next to baby's treat
And if you pardon me
I'd like to say
We'll do okay
Forever in blue jeans

Your money talks
But my genius walks
Morticians wait
With a shovel and a fork
As detectives trace
My hands with chalk
Your money talks
But my genius walks

You'll miss me so
You will miss me
It must be raining because a man ain't supposed to cry
But I look up
And I don't see a cloud

Have my love
It fits you like a glove
Join my dream, tell me yes
Bail out should there be a mess
The pieces you don
Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

I got my feet on the ground
And I don't go to sleep to dream
You got your head in the clouds
And you're not at all what you seem
This mind, this body and this voice cannot be
Stifled by your deviant ways
So don't forget what I told you
Don't come around
I got my own hell to raise

I have never been so insulted in all my life
I could swallow the seas to wash down all this pride
First you run like a fool just to be at my side
And now you run like a fool but you just run to hide
And I can't abide

Day after day, alone on the hill,
The man with the foolish grin is keeping perfectly still.
But nobody wants to know him,
They can see that he's just a fool.
And he never gives an answer .....

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

Well on his way, his head in a cloud,
The man of a thousand voices, talking perfectly loud.
But nobody ever hears him,
Or the sound he appears to make.
And he never seems to notice .....

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

And nobody seems to like him,
They can tell what he wants to do.
And he never shows his feelings,

But the fool on the hill,
Sees the sun going down.
And the eyes in his head,
See the world spinning around.

Fool on the Hill by The Beatles (Paul McCartney)
By the way, I don't think I've ever heard that George Harrison song.

That George Harrison song, "Cloud Nine," was on a solo album he released in 1987 (?) called "Cloud Nine."
* * * *

We were talking -about the space between us all
And the people-who hide themselves behind a wall of illusion
Never glimpse the truth-then it's far too late-when they pass away.

We were talking
-about the love we all could share-when we find it
To try our best to hold it there-with our love

With our love-we could save the world-if they only knew.
Try to realize it's all within yourself
No-one else can make you change
And to see you're really only very small,
And life flows ON within you and without you.

We were talking-about the love that's gone so cold and the people,
Who gain the world and lose their soul-
They don't know-they can't see-are you one of them?

When you've seen beyond yourself-then you may find, peace of mind,
Is waiting there-
And the time will come when you see
we're all one, and life flows on within you and without you.

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do
I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much
Than to drown in your love and not feel your rain.

Set me free, leave me be.
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while
And all my fragile strength is gone.

Gravity
Is working against me
And gravity
Wants to bring me down

Whoa I'll never know
What makes this man
With all the love
That his heart can stand
Dream of ways
To throw it all away

Whoa Gravity
Is working against me
And gravity
Wants to bring me down

Oh twice as much
Ain

The frustration of this moment is so clear
As the stoplight's been red forever, and you think it's strange.
If you're getting worried 'cause you're running late, don't fear.
Just hold on, hold on; the light will change.

Everyone who's ever driven a car
Has had to wait until they've felt deranged.
Don't run the red light -- that would be going too far.
Just hold on, hold on; the light will change.

While you've waited, you've heard twelve songs on the radio.
It's the longest red light you have ever seen.
And when it seems you've waited far too long,
Just hold on, hold on; it will turn green.

Hold on; hold on; the light will change.
(Hold on) If you feel trapped and fear this time will never pass.
(Hold on) If you've forgotten how it feels to push the gas.
(Hold on) If you're half-crazy, fearing you're the only one
Who has ever been stuck at an intersection.
Just hold on. Hold on. The light will change.

The frustration of this moment is so clear
As the stoplight's been red forever, and you think it's strange.
If you're getting worried 'cause you're running late, don't fear.
Just hold on, hold on; the light will change.

You're a winner
For a lifetime
If you seize that one moment in time
Make it shine

Give me one moment in time
When I'm more than I thought I could be
When all of my dreams are a heartbeat away
And the answers are all up to me
Give me one moment in time
When I'm racing with destiny
Then in that one moment of time
I will be
I will be
I will be free

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful
wife
And you may ask yourself-Well...How did I get here?

Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

And you may ask yourself
How do I work this?
And you may ask yourself
Where is that large automobile?
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful house!
And you may tell yourself
This is not my beautiful wife!
Letting the days go by/let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by/water flowing underground
Into the blue again/after the money's gone
Once in a lifetime/water flowing underground.

Talking Heads, "Once in a Lifetime"
Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

Beautiful people
You live in the same world as I do
But somehow I never noticed
You before today
I'm ashamed to say

Beautiful people
We share the same back door
And it isn't right
We never met before
But then
We may never meet again
If I weren't afraid you'd laugh at me
I would run and take all your hands
And I'd gather everyone together for a day
And when we're gathered
I'll pass buttons out that say
Beautiful people
Then you'll never have to be alone
'Cause there'll always be someone
With the same button on as you
Include him in everything you do.

Beautiful people
You ride the same subway
As I do every morning
That's got to tell you something
We've got so much in common
I go the same direction that you do
So if you take care of me
Maybe I'll take care of you

Beautiful people
You look like friends of mine
And it's about time
That someone said it here and now
I make a vow that some time, somehow
I'll have a meeting
Invite everyone you know
I'll pass out buttons to
The ones who come to show
Beautiful people
Never have to be alone
'Cause there'll always be someone
With the same button on as you
Include him in everything you do
He may be sitting right next to you
He may be beautiful people too
And if you take care of him
Maybe I'll take care of you
And if you take care of him
Maybe I'll take care of you...

Just got home from Illinois, lock the front door, oh boy!
Got to sit down, take a rest on the porch.
Imagination sets in, pretty soon I'm singing,

Doot, doot, doo, Looking out my back door.

There's a giant doing cartwheels, A statue wearing high heels.
Look at all the happy creatures dancing on the lawn.
A dinosaur Victrola listening to Buck Owens,

Doot, doot, doo, Looking out my back door.

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band.
Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon? Doo, doo doo.
Wond'rous apparition provided by magician.

Doot, doot, doo, Looking out my back door.

Tambourines and elephants are playing in the band. Won't you take a ride on the flying spoon? Doo, doo doo.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I'll buy no sorrows.
(...etc.)

Creedence Clearwater Revival, "Looking Out My Back Door."
Have a nice day, unless you already have other plans.

What's in a name?
Face on a stage
Where are you now?
Memory fades, you take a bow

Here in the dark
Watching the screen
Look at them fall
The final scene

And we go doot
Doot
doot

Look at them fall
Flicker and fade
Gone are the screams
I put them to bed, now they are dreams

And we go doot
Doot
doot

Doot Doot by Freur

I have to admit, I had not heard this song before, I just googled Doot Doot. I really wanted to use Walk on the Wild Side, but google insists it says Doo Doo.

Well, that would have worked, Momma, because the verse that begins with "Tambourines and elephants" says Doo doo doo.

I don't know why; I couldn't tell the difference when I listen to the song, but I was going by one of the song lyrics sites.

I didn't even notice that! And I probably could have done Wild Side without even googling the words, now that I think about it. Although I don't really like to think about a lot of those words, I guess.
